About the Alain Colmerauer Prize
Alain Colmerauer Prize was established to commemorate the Prolog's 50th anniversary. Prolog is a logic programming language associated with artificial intelligence and computational linguistics. Alain Colmerauer and his team in Marseille developed and implemented the first version of prolog in 1972. The prize celebrates recent practical accomplishments that highlight the benefits of Prolog-inspired computing for the future. There were 21 applicants for the prize, and Prof. SATOH was selected as one in five finalists.
