We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming seminar by Prof. Uriel Martinez-Hernandez and Prof. Tareq Assaf (Bath) titled:"Multimodal Human-Robot Interaction" "Artificial touch & Large-scale problems" Everyone interested is cordially invited to attend!
Talk 1:
Title:
Multimodal Human-Robot Interaction
Abstract:
In this presentation, I will talk about some of the work developed in my research group (Multimodal inte-R-action), which is about the use of multimodal sensors (e.g., touch, vision and wearables) and machine learning methods such as LSTM, CNN and Bayesian networks for human-robot interaction applications including understanding human actions for collaboration in assembly tasks and activity recognition for assistive devices.
Speaker:
Uriel Martinez-Hernandez Associate Professor in University of Bath
Talk 2:
Title:
Artificial touch & Large-scale problems
Abstract:
The presentation aims to introduce and provide an overview of the work and expertise in my research group (Bio-RAS-Lab). The presentation is focused on artificial large-scale sensing context, state of the art, issues, technical challenges, and proposed solutions. The last section introduces reflection points on this challenging and growing field of research.
