GRADUATE Program
MEXT Scholarship (Embassy recommend)
Students can obtain fellowship before applying to our graduate program taking advantage of the Japanese government scholarship system (Embassy recommendation type). After passing the initial screening conducted at the Japanese embassy, applicants can contact faculties of our Program and discuss their research interests and potential independent research topics. Successful applicants will be admitted as "research student" of SOKENDAI University, and will be able to initiate research, as well as familiarize oneself to Japanese language and culture. To enroll as a degree-seeking graduate student, one must pass the entrance examination of our graduate program ("General Admission System") within two years in principle. Scholarship will be provided throughout the period of research student and graduate student, as long as the student is in good standing.
Initial screening at the Japanese embassy will include documentary screening, language test (Japanese, English) and interview. Because education and research at the Informatics Program are conducted primarily in English, knowledge of Japanese is not mandatory to be accepted to the Informatics Program. For details, please inquire at the Japanese embassy or consulate general in your country.
