We study quantum computing and quantum simulation systems based on optically controlled semiconductor quantum dots/wells in monolithic microcavities. Two specific systems of our interest are (1)Quantum simulators and analog quantum computers based on dynamic condensation of exciton-polaritons, and (2)Topological surface code architectures for digital quantum computation and quantum repeaters based on quantum dot spins.
