学術情報流通基盤強化の一環として図書館経営、学術誌出版、研究コミュニティポータルなどのWEB 開発に従事。機構のデジタルライブラリー化構想を受けて、研究情報リポジトリシステムをマックスプランク研究所と共同開発。“NIMS eSciDoc”(http://pubman.mpdl.mpg.de/)として運用中。同システムと所内業務データベースを統合して研究者プロファイルとして外部公開する“SAMURAI”(http://samurai.nims.go.jp)を今秋に公開。学術誌出版では、材料科学分野の英文論文誌(Science and Technology for Advanced Materials, STAM)をオープンアクセスジャーナルモデルへ転換し、材料研究所として研究者による研究者のための出版を目指す。同誌の日本向けジャーナルサイトを開設(http://e-materials.net/stam)。エルセビア社SCOPUSのコンテンツアドバイザリーボード委員、日本学術会議特任連携会員等としても活動。
Mikiko Tanifuji, General Manager of Scientific Information Office at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), a national research laboratory in Tsukuba, Japan. She is a managing director of NIMS Library, and a publishing director of journal publishing, Science and Technology of Advanced Materials (STAM).The journal went up to 36th out of 212 in 2009 in the area of materials science and multidisciplinary by Thomson Routers database. She is also involved in a development of social network portals in materials science. One of her major projects “NIMS eSciDoc” (http://pubman.mpdl.mpg.de/) is a co-development project with Max Planck Digital Library, which is one of core repository service of NIMS digital library. NIMS Library has released a researcher directory service, SAMURAI (http://samurai.nims.go.jp) which is one of application services extracted from NIMS eSciDoc. She is a member of SPARC Japan, Publishing Board of the Optical Society of Japan, SCOPUS Contents Selection and Advisory Board and Japan Science Council. |
