| More than a decade after the birth of Open Access (OA), OA journals and articles have still increasing. In Europe and America, there seem to be some political actions, like Finch Report in U.K., to promote the publication of research activities in OA journals. Supports for Article Processing Charges (APCs) has been promoted at university libraries.
This seminar is intended to share information about the survey on Japanese researchers’ submission to OA journals and case studies in the university library and institution dealing with APCs. In addition, international trends and future scenarios relating to APCs will be introduced. We will discuss future perspective of APCs at national and university levels in Japan.
