This workshop aims at exchanging ideas about the international research and education collaborations using the information technology (IT) based environment not only between Japan and Thailand, but also worldwide. The Cyber Science Infrastructure (CSI) is a new comprehensive framework in which Japanese universities and research institutions are collaboratively constructing an IT based environment to boost scientific research and education activities, and the National Institute of Informatics (NII) is playing a key role.
