Abstract

The interaction between robots and humans is a highly visible topic in industry related applications in Germany. While classical manipulator systems have a long history in industrial environments, there is a strong demand to enable a safe interaction of humans and robots in industry applications The research objective at the National Institute of Informatics (NII) is to investigate social interaction in a robot simulator for application in the field of human robot interaction (HRI) and multi-robot systems.
