Doctoral Degree Commemoration Medal Presentation Ceremony and NII Inose Student Award Ceremony Held for SOKENDAI Informatics Program
On March 17, 2026, the National Institute of Informatics (NII) held the "Doctoral Degree Commemoration Medal Presentation Ceremony" and the "NII Inose Student Award Ceremony" for graduates of the SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies) Informatics Program and its affiliated graduate programs.
NII serves as the Informatics Program of SOKENDAI, offering doctoral education through both a five-year integrated doctoral program and a three-year doctoral program. This spring, 13 students who had conducted their research at NII and its affiliated institutions completed the program.
At the ceremony, Director-General Kurohashi presented each graduate with a commemorative medal in recognition of their dedication to doctoral research and with best wishes for their future success. In addition, the Inose Excellence Student Award, presented to a student with outstanding academic and research achievements, and the Inose Student Encouragement Award, presented to a student who has demonstrated particularly active research engagement, were each awarded to one recipient, along with a commemorative plaque and certificate.
We wish all graduates and award recipients continued success in advancing the future of informatics.
