Exhibition at 82nd Annual Conference
of the Japan Library Association
The 82nd Annual Conference of Japan Library Association was held for three days from October 23 (Wed.) to 25 (Fri.), 1996 at the Beacon Plaza (Beppu city, Oita prefecture). Over 2,400 library personnel attended. The National Center for Science Information Systems (NACSIS) was there with a display at the Equipment Exhibition so as to explain its activities to university libraries, public libraries, and the like and give demonstrations of its Internet services. Like with "Database '96 Tokyo", there was great interest in the Electronic Library Service. The start of the service in April 1997 was eagerly awaited.
