Visit of Prof. Pairash and Prof. Vilas from Thailand
Research entitled "Joint Study of International Exchange of Academic
Information" international scientific research (joint research),
Grant-in-Aid Research funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and
Culture (research representative: Prof. Kinji ONO) will continue for three
years starting from this fiscal year. Two members of a group of
researchers from Thailand participating in this joint research, PAIRASH
Thajchayapong, Rector of the King Mongkut Institute of Technology
Ladkrabang and VILAS Wuwongse, Associate Professor at the Asian Institute
of Technology, were invited to visit NACSIS on November 4 to discuss their
research.
These discussions focussed on the importance of scientific information
exchanges within the Asia-Pacific region and it was proposed to debate
scenarios on how scientific information should be circulated and developed.
Mr. PAIRASH also gave a special lecture entitled "Present Status and Future
of Thai Academic Information System."
