Access to Shonan Village Center

Please consult: Shonan Village Center Access Page

(1) Recommendation :

  • From Narita Airport, JR’s Raid Train “Airport Narita” with “Green Car (First-class coach)” ticket is recommended. It goes “Zushi” Station (nearest station to Shonan Village Center) without any trasfer.? The timetable is here.
  • It takes 2.5 hours from Narita Airport to “Zushi” Station. “Zushi” is 30th Stations from Narita Airport.
  • Please make sure to take “Green car”, otherwise sheets are not designed for longer trips and the passengers may stand-up in front of sheeted passengers, etc.? Green car ticket of “Airport Narita” is cheaper than JR’s Narita Express’s ordinary coach, but takes a little longer (30 min or less)
  • Sheet reservation is NOT available for Rapid “Airport Narita” train.
  • From “Zushi” Station, please take a bus No.16 from the bus stop No.1 in front of Zushi Station, or a taxi to the Shonan Village Center . The bus stops in front of the hotel where we will stay, and this is the final bus stop of the bus.
  • There are less-frequent services (1 or 2 service per hour). It takes 15-30 minutes from the Zushi Station to the Center.

?

(2) Second Recommendation (slightly faster, but need to change train)

  • Take JR’s “Narita Express (NEX)” from the Narita Airport to either Tokyo, Yokohama, Totsuka, or Ofuna, then change to JR’s “Shonan Line”, “Yokosuka Line”,or? Rapid “Airport Narita” train to “Zushi” Station.
  • Probably it takes about 2 hours from the Airport to Zushi, but may change depending on the connection.
  • Sheet reservation is mandatory for NEX. You can reserve sheets when you purchase ticket(s) at the Station of Narita Airport.
  • The NEX and the Shonan Line (including the Rapid “Airport Narita” train) run along almost the same routes from Tokyo to Ofuna. And NEX is slightly faster than the Shonan Line and generally more comfortable in terms of sheets and the services (including the ladies come and go with wagon of snacks and drinks, etc.), so if you can take the NEX longer (i.e. to Totsuka or Ofuna), it is generally faster. From “Ofuna” to “Zushi”, it takes 11 minutes by “Shonan” or “Yokosuka” Lines. “Zushi” is the 3rd station from “Ofuna”.

(Ofuna – Kita Kamakura (meaning is North Kamakura) – Kamakura – Zushi)
