National Institute of Informatics (NII) launched JAIRO (Japanese Institutional Repositories Online) in April 1.

JAIRO is a succeeding service of JuNii+ (test version) in which academic information (journal articles, theses or dissertations, departmental bulletin papers, research papers, etc.) accumulated in Japanese institutional repositories can be searched for cross-sectionally.

As of the end of March 2009, JAIRO allows about 600,000 contents in 89 institutional repositories to be searched for.

To adjust these, JAIRO was added to GeNii integrated search system.
