In general students coming to live in Tokyo should expect to pay quite a high proportion of their living expenses for accomodation. In the central Tokyo area a rough guide for the cost of rented accomodation is between 60,000 and 70,000 yen per month. Although neither Sokendai nor NII have a student dormitory most of our students have no difficulties in finding privately rented accomodation. This is usually done through private accomodation agencies which specialize in apartments and student dormitories.
