Non-Japanese applicants living outside Japan can take an online interview
instead of an interview in Japan.
After the application, your expected advisor and two other faculty members will conduct an online interview.
Later, the result of online interview will be reported to the sectoral meeting and your application documents will also be screened according to admission criteria.
After the sectoral meeting make a conclusion about passing or failing,
NII departmental committee will discuss the conclusion and make a judgement of acceptance officially.
