Place:
Hitotsubashi Memorial Hall, National Center of Sciences
Academic and international
participants are developing the Dublin Core, which is widely used as a metadata rule on
Internet, since the international conferences started to be held in 1995. At this 9th conference, we would like
to change the format of the event and invite more participants to make it a more
meaningful meeting. It will include
presentation of research papers and tutorial seminars.
As this Tokyo Conference will be the
first one to be held in Asia, it is expected to play an even more important role than past
ones. It is being organized as a comprehensive conference that will include an opportunity
to present research papers, to exchange opinions, to have tutorial seminars for metadata,
while continuing the discussions on the development of Dublin Core.
Organized by National Institute of
Informatics, Japan Science and Technology Corporation, University of Library and
Information Science, Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI), etc.
